Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' at 30: unknown facts
Rebbie, Mike and Janet
  • While Thriller still ruled the airwaves in 1984, Jackson wrote another Top Ten hit, “Centipede” for eldest sibling Rebbie, the one and only hit of her career. LaToya, wanting badly to escape Michael’s gargantuan shadow, refused to let Michael produce any music for her. Janet felt the same way, but obviously she had much greater success (Michael also wrote a Top Ten hit for Diana Ross called “Muscles” in 1981).
