  • Jermaine Jackson, Michael wrote in his autobiography Moonwalk, used to complain relentlessly to mother Katherine about Michael wearing white socks all the time and also wearing high-water pants — pants that hung inches above the shoes that revealed those hated socks. Funny, then, that one of Michael’s signature fashion looks during the Thriller years was those high-water pants and white socks in his videos and on Motown 25.
