Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ at 30: 30 unknown facts for 30 years

  • Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney formed a mutual admiration society. The former Beatle wrote a song for Michael’s “Off the Wall” album. Michael returned the favor when he wrote “The Girl is Mine” that the two sung together for the Thriller album that sat at #2 on the Billboard pop charts for three consecutive weeks in December 1982. They also collaborated one more time, “Say, Say, Say” for Paul’s solo album a few months later that shot to the top of charts and stayed there for six weeks.
