Actress Joyful Drake is a Milwaukee native. As a pre-teen, she exhibited a desire to pursue modeling and acting and possessed a quick wit. She’s had roles in Hair Show with Mo’Nique as well as guest starring roles in such shows as “The Game” and “Cuts.” She is currently playing Tasha Woodson on “Let’s Stay Together,” which she is quoted saying “it’s giving [viewers] a chance to laugh, relate, and see themselves in living characters right on their TV screen. She was also a writer and producer of a TV movie slated “Glass Heels” about two women who were displaced from their jobs and turn to exotic dancing as a means of support. Other film credits include Get Him to the Greek and Phat Girlz. Drake is a former dancer for the Milwaukee Bucks Energie Dance team. Drake was an honoree at the Mirror Mirror Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at Rolling Stone Los Angeles Restaurant & Lounge.
