Jacintha Saldana’s death
Deejays Michael Christian and Mel Greig placed the prank call to the switchboard of King Edward VII hospital in London. Greig faked a British accent and told Jacintha Saldana that she was the queen, calling to check on Kate Middleton’s condition. The duo expected the hospital officials to hang up on them, but instead, nurse Saldana patched the call through to a ward nurse.
Saldana’s body was later recovered, a suspected suicide.
