Legendary actress Vanessa Bell Calloway receives a Mirror Mirror Award in Los Angeles

Actress Vanessa Bell Calloway has amazed audiences with her acting on stage, the silver screen and television. She’s best known for her roles in Coming to America with Eddie Murphy and What’s Love Got to do With It opposite Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne. She’s also starred in Biker Boyz, The Inkwell, The Brothers and Crimson Tide. A veteran of the stage, Calloway starred in Seven Guitars at The August Wilson 20th Century Theater Festival held at The Kennedy Center. In 2012, Calloway completed work on two independent feature films, The Under Shepherd with Isaiah Washington and The Last Fall with Lance Gross, both slated to hit theaters this year. An accomplished dancer, Calloway was in the original Broadway production of “Dreamgirls.” Calloway was an honoree at the Mirror Mirror Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at Rolling Stone Los Angeles Restaurant & Lounge.
