“He sounds kinda like Biggie!” That was pretty much all that could be said about this Belizean-born NYC-raised rhymer when he initially appeared about 18 months after the Notorious B.I.G.’s death. And that was all he needed to spark a bidding war and a subsequent deal with Diddy’s Bad Boy Records. His first album got some notice, he shot up a nightclub in 1999 and was sent to prison. Unbelievably, Def Jam signed him to a HUGE deal while he was incarcerated.
