The Whitney Houston Tribute
Most viewers were looking forward to the Whitney Houston tribute, featuring Jordin Sparks, Melanie Fiona and Ledisi. Unfortunately, we don’t think they got a big enough pay off. Jordin may have worked with Whitney, but her pipes didn’t have the power to carry Whitney’s “I’m Every Woman.” Melanie Fiona fared no better as she failed to put any power into “It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay.” Thankfully, Ledisi saved the day with a powerhouse rendition of “How Will I Know,” while the other two sang backup.
