Phil and Ronnie Spector
One of the people that spoke at Ike Turner’s funeral was legendary producer Phil Spector. The man behind the innovative “Wall of Sound” who wrote and produced hits for most of the classic 60s girl groups, he married his most famous muse, Ronnie Bennett, who led the Ronettes. Ronnie later revealed that Spector would threaten to kill her, kept her literally locked in their mansion for months, and even bought a coffin that he promised to put her in. They eventually divorced, and Phil is currently serving 19 years-to-life for murdering actress Lana Clarkson.
