He was the hip hop megastar with a maniacal alter-ego. She was his high school sweetheart. Eminem and Kim Mathers’ relationship was fodder for numerous dark and twisted songs by the Detroit-born rapper — many of which centered around him murdering his wife and baby’s mother. In 2000, Em was arrested for assaulting a bouncer he allegedly saw kissing Kim, and Kim attempted suicide by slitting her wrists the following month. She also eventually sued Eminem for depicting her death in his music.
