Nas

2. Nas Life Is Good

When rap fans try to forget about Nas, he makes a point to remind us all why he’s one of the best to ever do it. On Life Is Good, Nas is as ambitious as his 18 year-old self during the recording of Illmatic. Nas lays out his personal troubles with ex-wife Kelis “Bye Baby”; raps about dealing with a teenage daughter who is growing up too fast “Daughters”; and lends his thoughts on the struggles of everyday life “World’s An Addiction.” Essentially, Nas finds a fresh way to give fans the feeling of ’90s era rap when New York hip-hop ruled.
