Skin bleach worst star beauty trend of 2012

Suddenly and without explanation, black and brown-hued stars are fading to white. The list of black stars that apparently bleach their skin is beginning to rival the list of white stars that tan.

Here then, is a round-up of ten beautiful stars who appear to have lightened up.

Is this what is called the Black man’s burden? Bleaching of one’s skin to get acceptance.

This picture looks suspicious to me. If Tempest is bleaching then she must still be in the process because the tones don’t match and it looks like her head has been fused onto another person’s neck.

I’m from Zimbabwe and live in England now. If one compares pictures of me then and now, they’d be shocked. I can’t speak for others but for myself, I’d be horrified if people thought I was bleaching my skin. I am atleast 5-8 shades lighter than what I would call my natural tone. As a person of mixed heritage my skin tone always looks different anyway and it took me years to find a foundation match which happened to be 3 different shades of foundation. In Zimbabwe to my knowledge, bleaching is not as rampant as here in England where not only west Africans and Caribbean people are doing it, but so are Indians and people from Pakistan. Beautiful skin to me is clear spot free skin whether black, white or brown. I think people are not seeking a white look, more so the tanned look, from both white and black sides. Here it seems everyone wants to be tanned. People are dying from tanning injections, others are mashing up their faces with skin bleach. Its so sad and not worth it.
