Don Cornelius’ suicide
An icon of music television, fans and media were shocked when the beloved founder and longtime host of “Soul Train” was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Los Angeles. Cornelius had reportedly been suffering from seizures for years, was facing the early onset of Alzheimer’s and, according to his family, had been in extreme pain during the last years of his life.
