In the opening scene of the series, Marty Kaan (Don Cheadle) opens his eyes to a bare naked woman who appears to be unconscious or heavily intoxicated. The woman happens to be Marty’s ex-wife (Monica) and the scene foreshadows his hectic lifestyle.
