“What’s Going On” by Marvin Gaye

Inspired by his brother’s experiences fighting in the Vietnam War, Marvin’s signature song reflected the uncertainty and growing dissatisfaction many were feeling at the dawn of the 1970s. The song verbalized those frustrations perfectly, regarding the War, poverty, racial unrest and the fear that things were going to get worse before they got better.
