For more than half a decade, Barry Bonds was at the center of the Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative (BALCO) scandal for his alleged use of steroids. Bonds claimed that he never “knowingly” took any illegal steroids, but was convicted of perjury and denied entry into baseball’s Hall of Fame.
