Black monuments in Washington, D.C.4. Freedom Plaza: The plaza, located at 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, was named in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. A time capsule, which will be opened in 2088, is buried here and includes a Bible, a robe and other relics belonging to Dr. King.
