- Russell Simmons hosted arguably the most star-studded inauguration ball on Sunday, Jan. 20. The Hip Hop Inaugural Ball (H.I.B.), at the Harmen Center in the Chinatown section of Washington D.C. paid homage to many of the biggest old-school rap artists, including Doug E. Fresh, Swizz Beatz, MC Lyte, Fab Five Freddy and former NAACP President Dr. Benjamin Chavis.
