Leading grocer/pharmacy Jewel-Osco launched its Black History Month celebration with t “A Taste of Black History” customer tasting event at the JEWEL-OSCO at 1655 E. 95th St., in Chicago.
Chicago’s Zzaje performed and celebrity chef Josh Marks, who was the runner-up on the third season of the FOX reality cooking show “MasterChef,” was also in attendance. Marks is the national spokesman for Jewel-Osco African-American vendor Real Men Cook.
“A Taste of Black History” will continue throughout February at select stores. Produced by Jewel-Osco, the event, now in its 14th year, honors companies and individuals who have made strides in business and the community.
