Violence erupted last night between R&B rivals Chris Brown and Frank Ocean when the two were involved in an all-out brawl at an L.A. recording studio. And as details continue pour in about the fight, Ocean has now decided to share his side of the story on his melee with Brown.
According to TMZ, sources claim that the fight occurred at West Lakes Studios after Ocean and his crew arrived and blocked Brown, who was there listening to an artist he had signed, from leaving the studio.
The tension between the two artists eventually erupted into a full-blown fight after one of Ocean’s people allegedly attacked Brown, and the two singers and their entourages began to brawl.
Later in the evening, police arrived at the studio to clear the scene. However, Brown was not present when they arrived, leaving them only to speak with Ocean. Neither party seems to want to press charges against the other, nor have any arrests been made.
Although sources close to Brown say that Ocean instigated the fight, Ocean claimed on Twitter that Brown attacked him first.
“got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest was there,” tweeted Ocean, referring to his dog, Everest.
“cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys,” he added.
This isn’t the first time Brown and Ocean have found themselves at odds. In 2011, a Twitter beef between Brown and Odd Future nearly erupted into violence when men representing themselves as Brown’s associates followed and harassed Ocean on camera. Brown and Ocean seemed to squash their beef in response to Ocean’s harassment, but it appears that ill will was still felt between the two.
