Oprah Winfrey may be one of the nation’s most beloved celebrities, but she’s not without her critics. Earlier this week, Winfrey found herself challenging a disapproving fan after she was called “old” on Twitter.
During Monday night’s broadcast of Winfrey’s “Oprah’s Next Chapter” interview with Cissy Houston, Twitter user @kp1lady slammed Winfrey for looking “old as hell” on camera.
“D— @Oprah look old as hell tonight.
But if @kp1lady thought she and her tweet would be overshadowed by Winfrey’s other 16 million followers, she was sadly mistaken, because Winfrey fired back at the user for her harsh critique.
“@kp1lady old as Hell? Really?” replied an appalled Winfrey.
Clearly, Winfrey is checking her mentions and ready to “check” any fan that gets out of line. And she’s not the only celeb that’s dealt with disrespectful fans. Check out some other fan-star beefs below. –nicholas robinson
