Rapper Drake is up for three awards at the Grammys this year, and the Young Money superstar will be doing more than waiting to hear his name called on music’s biggest night. Billboard reports that Drizzy is planning to release a new song the same night as the award show.
The track, called “Started From the Bottom” is produced by Noah “40” Shebib and Mike Zombie, and Drake will debut the single on Feb. 10. The song is expected to be the first official single from Drake’s upcoming third album. YMCMB head Bryan “Birdman” Williams had previously hinted that something major was happening for the label on Grammy night. “This year we got something in store,” he told Billboard. “We got a new record coming out this year. It’s just one of those nights that, after seeing each other together, that’ll be like the highlight of our night, the highlight of our life, the highlight of our year.”
Drake also has reportedly already shot a video for “… Bottom” in his hometown of Toronto, with veteran video director Little X handling the visuals.
His sophomore album, Take Care, was released in 2011 and has sold 1.9 million copies thus far.
