British singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lianne La Havas delivers alternative folk and soul. Fans who’ve had the listening pleasure were entranced by her persuasive lyrics in the Is Your Love Big Enough album and by Matt “Aqualung” Hales’ production. On it, there’s a duet with Willy Mason, who hails from the Martha’s Vineyard islet, titled “No Room for Doubt.” Jazzy and witty, her key influences include Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill.
Born and raised in London, La Havas’ father is Greek and mother is Jamaican. She made her foray into mainstream music when she opened for Bon Iver during his North American tour. She released Big Enough in July 2012 in the U.K. which is her debut album, for Warner Bros.
