Reward for information on slaying of Chicago teen Hadiya Pendleton

Officials announced that the initial award of $11,000 has grown to $40,000 for information leading to an arrest for the murder of the honors student. The family’s pastor, Courtney Maxwell, offered $6,000 and St. Sabina parish added $10,000 to an earlier pledge of $5,000 to reach a total of $40,000, according to a statement to press.
