If the Grammy Awards had the Best Rap Album category in 1994, Nas would have been the favorite to walk away with the award for Illmatic. It would take Nas seven years to release an equally impressive album. Stillmatic featured every element of the perfect rap album. However, it never received a Grammy nomination.
