Jermaine Dupri weighs in on Bow Wow, Kandi Burruss beef

Jermaine Dupri weighs in on Bow Wow, Kandi Burruss beef

It was only a few weeks ago that Jermaine Dupri announced his much hyped So So Def 20th Anniversary All-Star Anniversary Concert, which takes place in Atlanta on Feb. 23. But controversy is already surrounding the event, thanks to Durpi’s former protégé, Bow Wow, who recently slammed former Xscape singer Kandi Burruss for deciding not to perform at the show. Now, JD is opening up and sharing his two cents about the beef.

“I don’t feel anything at all [about those comments]. I’m not even thinking about that,” said Dupri in a recent interview with Sister 2 Sister. “Do you know how crazy this concert is? For me to even think about that is a waste of my time. The approach of getting 13 artists all in the same place and to perform all of these hits is so much more positive than I have to put into that. That little talking, that stuff means nothing to me.”

Dupri also explained his reasoning for finally throwing a reunion concert, saying that he wanted to take advantage of the opportunity while all of his artists were still alive and well.

“I’m at a moment in life where I had a couple of my friends pass away and it made me feel as though maybe I should take advantage of this opportunity while I’m here. All the artists are here, well and healthy. You never know what the 21st anniversary will look or feel like,” Dupri explained.

Well, it’s good to see that Dupri isn’t taking any sides or fan the flames of the feud. Although, considering Burruss’ silence, we’re guessing that the beef is pretty dead at this point. Check out some other feuds that ended rather quietly below. –nicholas robinson
