No. 6 Nile Rodgers
Beginning his career as a session guitarist for acts like Aretha Franklin and Parliament, the Chic founder became one of the most unquestionably gifted producers-arrangers of the disco era and into the dance-pop dominated 80s. His initial chart success was through producing hits like “Le Freak” and “Good Times” for his own band, but he also produced monster hits for Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, David Bowie, Madonna, Al Jarreau and Duran Duran.
