The comeback that never happened
For a while there, it seemed like she was going to pull it off. Whitney had made some high-profile appearances, landed a role in a major motion picture, and was recording new music. It seemed as though, after almost a decade of self-destructive behavior and tabloid headlines, she was ready to re-emerge rejuvenated. Sadly, she never got the chance.
