YMCMB superstar Lil Wayne apparently had a bad experience at the nationally televised NBA game between the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers. The game took place in Miami at American Airlines Arena, and according to a tweet from Weezy, he was kicked out of the venue for an undisclosed reason.
“So I’m @ da Heat game right, rootin 4 da Lakers kuz dats my team & would u believe they got police 2 make me leave?! Wow! F–k da Heat,” Wayne tweeted.
Wayne has a somewhat contentious history with both the Miami Heat and NBA arenas.
Back in 2011, Wayne told Rolling Stone magazine that he refuses to root for the Heat because stars Dwyane Wade and LeBron James don’t acknowledge him enough at their games.
“Them n—as never speak to a n—a,” he said at the time. “They don’t chuck me the deuce or nothing. N—a spent all that money on them f-cking tickets … Come holla at me. We sit right by them little b-tch-a– n—as. At least come ask me why I’m not rooting for you.”
And last year, when the Oklahoma City Thunder were in the midst of a seven-game playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs, Wayne made headlines by alleging that he was asked to leave the OKC arena after a season ticket holder wouldn’t give up his seat. “We’d love to have him at a game, but like anyone else, he needs a ticket,” said team spokesman Dan Mahoney.
Similarly, a Heat representative told TMZ that no one forced Wayne to leave the game. “In response to your inquiry, please note that Lil Wayne was not ejected from the building,” the rep reportedly stated. “He chose to leave.”
