Miami Heat ends New York Knicks season despite Jalen Brunson’s 41 points

The Miami Heat advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals for the third time in the last four years with a 96-92 win over the New York Knicks at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Knicks guard Jalen Brunson had arguably the best game of his career, scoring 41 points, on 14-22 from the field, knocking down 5 three-pointers in the loss. Jimmy Butler led Miami with 24 points and 8 rebounds, while Bam Adebayo had 23 points and 9 rebounds, and Kyle Lowry added 11 points and 9 rebounds off the bench.

New York Knicks turn down Heat, trail Miami 3-2

The Knicks took a three-point lead at the half and led by as many as 19 in the third quarter. Miami cut the lead to four in the fourth quarter, but the Knicks held on for a 112-103 win over the Heat. Jalen Brunson led all scorers with 38 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 asisists, while RJ Barrett added 26 points and 7 rebounds, and Julius Randle added 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
