Jay-Z disses The-Dream

Typically, when a group of artists take the stage to accept an award, there’s a sense of cameradie and gratitude, but that wasn’t the case when Jay-Z, The-Dream and Frank Ocean walked on stage to accept the Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “No Church in the Wild.” A shy Ocean said a few words of thanks to his family, but The-Dream, shockingly shoved Ocean to the side and claimed that he wanted to make up for being cutoff during his thank you speech at last year’s show. “Yeah, back up,” Dream said to Ocean before thanking his fans, mom and grandfather as the walk off music came on. Hov, either wanting to stand up for Ocean or perhaps sensing the great comedic opportunity, magically stopped the orchestra and took a jab at The-Dream’s outfit.  “I’d like to thank the swap meet for his hat,” Jay quipped about The-Dream’s old-school Boyz N the Hood cap over a parental advisory bandanna. Good one, Jay!
