Kandi meets with Marvin Sapp
Kandi’s been putting in lot of work recording her debut gospel song and Marvin Sapp finally joins her in the studio to hear the song, and much to Kandi’s delight her father comes by as well. After playing them the record, Kandi’s father cries as he tells Kandi that her message is something young people need to hear to bring them closer to God. And Kandi is happy that her father, who clearly passed down his heart-on-his-sleeve mentality to Kandi, is proud of her and a big part of her life now. Later, Marvin finally hits the booth to record his vocals, and desite Kandi’s worry over recording with him, Marvin knocks out the song in just a few takes.
