Kids pose as Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and Rosa Parks
A Maryland photographer is generating buzz today for a series of photos that feature children portraying key figures in black history. Eunique Jones Gibson has released a photo series titled “Because Of Them We Can” that featured a photo a day on social media of 28 children emulating the likes of Rosa Parks, Harriett Tubman, and Run DMC.
“As a motivational speaker and a photographer, I recently realized that my lens can also be my microphone,” said Gibson about the project.
Gibson previously made headlines when she launched a local awareness campaign tied to the death of Trayvon Martin. The pictures can be purchased on the “Because Of Them We Can” section of Gibson’s website.
