Former Senator Larry Craig (R-ID) was disgraced when he was charged with soliciting a undercover police officer in the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Denying the accusation until the bitter end, Craig plead guilty to a lesser charge that ended his long career in public service. Currently, Craig is at war with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) for using campaign funds to pay for his defense. He argues that the trip was official senate business and, therefore, use of election funds is permissible.
