T.I. served as the headlining act for BET and ASCAP’s SXSW showcase. Hosted by YAHOO!, the event took place at Brazos Hall in Austin, Texas. Along with a three-man band, DJ Drama and DJ MLK, T.I. performed a two-hour set that allowed him to go deep into his impressive catalog.
He opened with “Top Back” and “Rubberband Man,” and went back and forth between new and old songs throughout the show. Crowd favorites included “24s,” “ASAP,” “Bring ‘Em’ Out,” and “Whatever You Like.”
T.I. also performed “Ball,” “Go Get It,” “Hello,” “Addresses,” and “Trap Back Jumpin” from his latest album, Trouble Man.
But T.I.’s biggest surprise of the evening was the guy who was recently named “Hottest MC in the Game” by MTV.
Kendrick Lamar came out to perform his collaboration with T.I., “Memories Back Then.” Lamar remained on stage and rapped “Swimming Pools,” and “Backseat Freestyle.”
T.I. closed the show with his hit “What You Know.”
