Both have incredible timing and a physicality to their performances that get directors’ salivary glands working overtime. They’ve got the comedy thing down pat. Can it get better with a toothsome pas de deux?
We soon find out when Burt Wonderstone (Carell), a big-time Las Vegas illusionist’s show and livelihood are threatened by a brash new street performer (Carrey). With ticket sales down, Wonderstone’s cushy gig on the Strip might be headed for its final curtain call.
