Two landmark cases about same-sex marriage will be argued in front of the Supreme Court this week as California’s controversial Proposition 8, which bans gay marriage in California, and the Defense Of Marriage Act (DOMA) will be argued over.
While there is clear opposition to gay marriage equality, several key politicians have come out in support of it, and, more importantly, other states have taken the step towards progression and equality and have legalized same-sex marriage.
