Nineties alternative rock can be unbearably whiny, and the crown prince of po-faced emoting is Billy Corgan. But on Siamese Dream, Corgan’s adolescent melodramatics fuel some of the band’s – well, dreamiest music. Just think of ’90’s shoegaze as the pissed-off nephew of ’60’s psychedelia.
