It’s been some time since we’ve seen actress Tamala Jones in the news, but the Booty Call star added a bit of positivity to the news headlines this week when she appeared in a public service announcement for GLAAD’s “Coming Out For Equality Campaign.”

In the video, the “Castle” star spends most of her time on camera behind a closet door as she speaks to the audience about her support of the LGBT community.

“I tend to have strong opinions,” said the actress. “Who am I to decide how others should live their lives? For me, it’s not a partisan issue. It’s a human rights one and I believe everyone should be equal.”

Jones then “comes out the closet” and stands proudly “in your face” as “an ally for equality and strong opinions everywhere.”

The Brett Ratner-directed campaign, which will air on Xfinity Cable systems, also features videos from the likes of DeRay Davis, Jackie Chan and Giada De Laurentiis.

We commend Jones for having the guts to come out — as an ally, and like her, below are some other stars who are standing up for the LGBT community as well. –nicholas robinson
