Due to the health risks associated with smoking hookah, it’s highly likely that it could be outlawed at some point. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that smoking hookah retains all the carcinogens of cigarette smoke while adding more carbon monoxide and extra carcinogens from the use of burning coals. Also, a hookah user inhales 100 to 200 times the volume of smoke inhaled from a single cigarette.

But in case you get the urge to participate in hookah before it’s outlawed, here are the top hookah bars in America.

Sahara East (New York)

It features Middle Eastern foods such as Tabbouleh and hummus. Visitors can choose from about 40 flavors of tobacco (like apple and mango)

Samah (Chicago)

Samah features custom-blended flavors and other flavors such as strawberry and mango. They also feature Arabic chai or Turkish coffee.

Off the Hookah (Miami)

The waterfront lounge features five rooms. Patrons can relax at a table, bed, cabana, or even dine right on the water. The Hookah menu features over 22 flavors of tobacco.

Kapadokya (New York)

It features exotic flavors such as rose and honey tobaccos. There are also Belly-dancers on the weekend.

Hubble Hookah (Chicago)

It features 100 tobacco flavors and the option to blend different flavors of shisha. They also have organic teas, coffees and espressos.

Kismet (Dallas)

Kismet features 14 different flavors such as Double Apple and Citrus Mist. On Thursdays, women get free margaritas until 11 p.m.
