Quentin Tarantino — Some people can just get away with being an irreverent, arrogant, politically-incorrect entertainer when they possess as much talent as Tarantino. He simultaneously compels and repels blacks because of his skills and his loose use of the epithet. But, as Spike Lee noted, it is a shame that the ultra-talented Samuel L. Jackson’s one and only Academy Award nomination was for his playing Julius in Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction that had Jackson dropping the N-word like a pigeon on Ex-Lax.
