On Friday April 26th Dr. Alison Scott Cuillier and her Lasting Impression’s dental staff held their 2nd annual free dental care day through Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) from 8 am to 5 pm. The team of dentists provided the first 125 Harris County residents with free dental services. Services included free extractions, fillings, cleaning and root canals. Several hygienists, dental assistants and other dental professionals also donated their time and resources in order to provide free dental care to as many residents as possible.
Dentistry From The Heart is a registered non-profit organization that provides free dental work for people in need. Since its inception in 2001 from Dr. Vincent Monticciolo, Dentistry From The Heart has grown to include over 200 annual events nationwide and has provided more than 60,000 people with an estimated $8 million in free dental care services.
“Today was fantastic! We saw 111 patients and the event seemed to run much smoother than last year. Everyone was very positive and we had double the amount of volunteers from last year. I hope to continue to grow this event through Dentistry FromThe Heart because the need for better dental care in the inner city is still there” said Dr. Alison.
