Dr. Juanita Bynum dishes on her arrest
Now free from a Texas jail, Dr. Juanita Bynum is speaking out on her April arrest. As previously reported, the famed televangelist was taken in on a capias warrant for a civil proceeding after failing to pay ALW Entertainment company $140,000 as ordered in 2007. Bynum was ordered to pay after losing a lawsuit to the company.
Bynum has since released a statement on the issue on her official website. A portion of it reads, “Until recently, it was my understanding that a resolution had been reached involving a business dispute between Mr. Al Wash, of ALW Entertainment and myself. I was wrongfully detained, by the Dallas Texas Sheriff’s Dept. for failing to appear in court several months ago. I knew nothing regarding a civil court appearance involving the prior mentioned business dispute. […] I have not been found guilty of any unethical, fraudulent or non-integral behavior.”
Dr. Bynum has also released a portion of an email from Al Wash siding with her in the matter.
“It was a misunderstanding of information; Dr. Bynum is a spectacular person and we are looking forward to doing business together,” Wash stated in the email.
