Ladies are doing it for themselves. The roles on television have changed. Long gone are the days where women spend majority of TV scenes standing in a kitchen or holding babies. There are funny, intelligent, witty characters that bring life to today’s most popular sitcoms and for that they are rewarded… Beautifully. What you will notice is that none of them are African-American. Thankfully Shonda Rhimes is making efforts towards changing that.
