RuPaul Launches “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and “RuPaul’s Drag U”
After nearly a decade out of the limelight, during which RuPaul focused on his personal life, RuPaul reemerged with his own LOGO reality TV competition, “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” in 2008. The show became an instant hit and later spawned the spinoff series “RuPaul’s Drag U,” in which RuPaul and his “Drag Race” contestants gave everyday women life makeovers through drag makeup and culture.
