In the world of music, girls groups rise and fall all of the time and most of the time no one bats an eye. But when Diddy disbanded his beloved reality-based girl group, Danity Kane, in 2008, it seemed that music fans across the world were severely hurt by the breakup. But now, after five years apart, it seems that the group’s loyal fans are finally getting their ultimate wish as a new report claims that the group is reuniting without their former Bad Boy boss.
TMZ cameras recently spotted four of the group’s members, Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard, Shannon Bex and Aundrea Fimbres, grabbing lunch together in L.A. to meet with their new manager to discuss their reunion.
The ladies were mum about giving any details on their alleged reunion but when a reporter asked if they were working with Diddy again, O’Day responded, “Who’s that?”
Sources also claim that the reunion is indeed happening and that the ladies will go on tour together as well.
If the news is true, we won’t be surprised if the ladies end up in a legal battle with Diddy, whom sources claimed stiffed them on money when it came to their original deal. But all drama side, we’re just happy to see that Danity Kane may be reuniting.
But they’re not the only girl group that’s broken up and gotten back together. Check out some other reformed girl groups below. – nicholas robinson
