During a 2012 episode of “Cake Boss,” transgender “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Carmen Carrera was unknowlingly involved in a tasteless gag involving “Cousin Anthony” Bellifemine, the cousin of “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro, who was set up on a date with Carmen, with the punchline being “that’s a man, baby!” Carmen later criticized Buddy and revealed that she promised that her appearance would be about shining a positive light on the transgender community. Buddy subsequently apologized for offending Carmen.
