Kanye West and his team came up with an amazing marketing plan to introduce his new single, “New Slaves.” On May 17, the video was projected on buildings at specific locations around the world. In a sense, Kanye appeared as the hip-hop version of Wizard of Oz.

But while the marketing plan was ingenious, Kanye’s lyrics are even more impressive. He raps about racism, materialism and the prison-industrial complex. Overall, the song is reminiscent of Kanye’s militant voice that was featured more during his College Dropout days.
