Reality TV thrives off of dysfunction. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that WE has found a new form of dysfunction to offer the masses.
“Pregnant and Dating” is a new reality show that revolves around five women who are dating while pregnant. The women are seeking a companion and still having fun on the dating scene as they await the delivery date of their child.
Of course, it’s obvious that the women will receive backlash for being the antithesis of a traditional mother who is expecting. Most will believe that the women should relax and focus on having a healthy delivery. However, these women know there isn’t a future with the fathers of their babies and have come to grips with being without them. They are now seeking to get a head start in finding a potential lover and provider.
It could be considered irresponsible and “ratchet,” but the show fits in perfectly with the chaos that has become reality TV.
