Piedmont Park Conservancy celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Green Market with the 17th annual Landmark Lunch on Friday, May 31 at the Promenade at Legacy Fountain in Piedmont Park. The event chair of the luncheon was Carrie Jennison, CFO of Kaiser Permanente and board member of Piedmont Park Conservancy. Also on hand was Yvette Bowden, the president and CEO of Piedmont Park Conservancy.
Guests enjoyed a lively discussion on building a healthy environment moderated by Ryan Cameron of V-103’s ” The Ryan Comeron Show.” Panelists included HGTV’s award-winning interior designer, Vern Yip; Georgia’s Agricultural Commissioner Gary Black; and Dr. Reginald Mason, Kaiser Permanente’s total health expert.
This year the Conservancy honored Julia Emmons, former executive director of the Atlanta Track Club; and Marcia Bansley, founding executive director of Trees Atlanta. Both leaders, who have been on the forefront of making Atlanta a healthier place to live, received Green Giant Awards from the Piedmont Park Conservancy.
